In 1994, Mr. Underwood launched 1-888 Traffic School, Inc. in Jacksonville, FL. By 1997, it was the largest in the country with 150 locations and over 100,000 students a year. In 1999, he sold the business to a group led by Ford Motor Company and J.P. Morgan Chase. Following the end of a non-compete agreement in 2003, Ken founded The National Safety Commission Inc., an online driver education company that was recently named to the Inc. 500 as America's second fastest-growing education company. Since the creation of SIH Corp, Mr. Underwood has managed the growth of TNSC as well as the addition of the organizations' newest business units, including StereoFame.

Prior to his entrepreneurial endeavors, Ken served as a Special Project Mission Commander in the Navy, where he was a decorated pilot. He is a retired pilot from American Airlines, where he earned his International Captain Rating for both 757s and 767s. Ken sits on the advisory committee for Seamark Ranch and graduated cum laude from Jacksonville University with a BS degree in Marketing, Management, and Economics.
